Oracle Senior Sales Consultant in TOKYO, Japan

Job Description

As a pre-sales engineer, you will work with the sales representatives responsible for the customers to understand their business and systems. You will propose solutions that combine our products and services to solve business needs and challenges, whether on-premise or in the cloud, and engage in activities to widely promote the advanced nature of Oracle technology.

Career Level - IC3

Responsibilities

To carry out the above duties, you will perform the following activities:

  • Understanding and grasping the customer's business

  • Identifying customer business/system challenges and needs

  • Introducing technology products and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services

  • Coordinating the technical proposal team, including collaboration with other groups

  • Leading solution proposals using products/services tailored to customer needs

  • Promoting cross-customer solution initiatives

  • Acting as a technical contact for customers to improve customer happiness

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of engineering experience in the IT industry

  • Ability to communicate efficiently with customers

  • Ability to deliver effective presentations using presentation tools

  • Knowledge of the basic architecture and functions of Oracle Database, and ability to conduct technical discussions primarily on performance, availability, and security with customers

Nice-to-Have Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience in Oracle Database tuning

  • Experience in system operation and solve

  • Experience in building applications using SQL

  • Experience in building Oracle Database/Oracle Exadata

  • Experience in crafting and building cloud services, including OCI

  • Knowledge and experience with infrastructure products other than Oracle Database (e.g., WebLogic)

  • Knowledge and experience in one of the industries such as distribution or services

Language Skills

  • Ability to read English documentation and communicate via email, etc.

Location

  • Tokyo (Target: 2 days a week in the office, remote work available except for customer visits)
