The Role

This is a bilingual mid-level position that blends technical account management and customer success responsibilities to drive customer sales and contribute to product innovation. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in the audience measurement and analytics space who can comfortably manage customer requirements in the video and advertising industry in Japan/Asia. Knowledge of analytics, dataset integrations, and enterprise SaaS operations will be required with strong communication skills to manage customers projects and expectations. The position is suited for those with experienced backgrounds in fast growing B2B product companies as account managers or sales/integration engineers eager to work directly with the customer in the area of analytics and data management.

You will be responsible for part of the customer-driven product roadmap and enforcing high quality standards of our deliverables. You will have working knowledge of how our products work, build good relationships with customers to manage their requirements and provide the support each account needs. You will be expected to research the market and develop ideas for product features to solve ongoing business problems or to capture new opportunities.

This position is for a fully bilingual candidate who are able to work proficiently in startup environments and experienced in the Japanese B2B tech market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for managing the ongoing product requirements from our new and existing accounts by clarifying, documenting and prioritising (this is a mix of project and account management)

  • Research and understand the essence of the customer's business problem to discuss internally and develop a product-focused solution

  • Propose new product features and business structures that will support sales values with key accounts

  • Manage and participate in agile release cycles working with internal and customer side teams, overseeing final test checks and organise customer UAT when necessary

  • Support new sales opportunities as the Product expert through demos and participation at meetings, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings

  • Provide proactive support and communications with customers

  • Drive the onboarding of new customers and projects

  • Research competitors

  • Support tech partnerships channels for co-marketing and co-sales opportunities

Who you are (Qualifications/Experience):

  • Experienced: 6+ years experience in a customer-facing account management, project management role, or as an integration/sales engineer working closely with sales to drive new business

  • Proven track record of hitting account management sales targets or active support in closing of new sales

  • Enjoys communicating: ability to listen to customer needs in detail, discuss these needs internally, and actively present proposals to customers.

  • Goal Driven: A proven track record of working with internal teams to deliver customer-driven requirements on time and in good standard

  • Tech skills: Good understanding of how Analytics and Data pipeline work, familiar with video data and measurement methods

  • Team player: You have experience in working with small teams and you're very good at what you do and even better at working with the team

  • Bilingual: Japanese native fluency and English proficiency is required.

  • Extras: You must be able to work permanently in Japan. Experience in measurement, ad tech or media industry preferred.

Package:

  • salary: from 7,000,000 JPY
