Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Diagnostic/Therapeutic Interventional, Vascular and Neuro-Endovascular Imaging under general supervision, assist physicians in performing invasive angiographic catheterizations for diagnostic Interventional , Vascular and Neuro-Endovascular Procedures and any other procedure performed in the imaging labs. Ascetically prepares patients and catheterization sites using aseptic techniques. Assists physicians during complex diagnostic/therapeutic procedures observing strict sterile technique. Sets up, operates, and monitors complex digital medical and fluoroscopic equipment to ensure accurate image acquisition and expected patient outcomes. Uses multiple computer applications for proper procedure documentation within EHR. Maintains integrity of imaging laboratory supply inventory. Ensures accurate charge capture.
Essential Job Functions
Obtains and records all necessary historical documentation as needs to schedule and perform procedures.
Prepares patients for Interventional procedures using proper positioning and sterile technique.
Assists physicians in an aseptic environment during performance of Interventional procedures.
Locates and provides supplies, using sterile technique, to the sterile field for use by scrub team.
Operates digital medical and fluoroscopic equipment during diagnostic/therapeutic interventional procedures.
Operates computer interface equipment to obtain diagnostic images and 3D models during interventional procedures.
Prepares all acquired diagnostic images and documentation for interpretation by a physician.
Ensures equipment and supplies readiness (Pixis) in all interventional labs.
Uses provided computer applications to ensure accurate charge capture on technical and supply charges.
Uses working knowledge of CT, Ultrasound, Coding, Supply chain, and Scheduling to ensure positive outcomes.

Licensing/Certification
Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee program. (Required)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography (R) (Required)
ODH License (Required)
ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) and ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) (Preferred)
Experience in Interventional Imaging or Cardiovascular Imaging (Preferred)
Education
Vocational/Technical degree in Radiology (Required)
Associations degree or Bachelor (Preferred)
Work Experience
3 years’ experience in Radiology related field.

Training
