Medtronic is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager responsible for planning, directing and implementing all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.

In the role, you will develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.

A Day in the Life

• Plan, direct and implement all aspects of the company's site engineering activities (safety, manufacturing process performance, maintenance, post-market design changes, sustaining engineering, product configuration, end-item implementation).

• Contribute to a safety work environment, report any risks and events (injuries, illness and accidents). Understand and enforce all Health and Safety policies, procedures and regulations.

• Develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.

• Oversee the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies, provide guidance to the development engineering organization on new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products needed, monitor documentation maintenance throughout all phases of product lifecycle.

• Organize the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and external partners to ensure timely delivery and project execution, select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function, driving performance and increasing people engagement, drive a continuous improvement mindset in Engineering by engraining and improving the MPS (Medtronic Performance System) methodologies in the day-to-day.

• Improve SMO and Operations KPIs (Yields, Quality, OEE, Savings), as well as manufacturing availability means (OEE, up-time, Productivity), control and improve process and product performance (RTY, Scrap reduction), reduce cost and improve productivity (Costs, Programmatic Savings), meet deadlines on critical projects & Actions committed by Site Eng Org (CAPA / PMO Projects / EHS / Local Projects)

• Ensure availability of production means and related maintenance activities are performed (Maintenance / Calibration activities), champion a best-in-class quality mindset and Maintenance Excellence program

• Drive non-conformity management in Engineering scope (PRB / Hold / PHO / Deviation), lead and coordinates product quality investigations, act as a key partner with internal supplier of production equipment’s and testing sequences in the US.

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

• Fluency in French and English

• Experience in design control, process control within a highly regulated environment

• Experience in performance delivery, quality assurance in manufacturing

• Excellent organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills tied to interpersonal interaction

• Excellent managerial skills

Nice to Haves

• Strong, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience in interacting with internal, external stakeholders based in other timezones (e.g.: the US).

• Fluency in another European language.
