JOB REQUIREMENTS: Tomah Memorial Hospital EOE POSITION DETAILS: Full-time with benefits; 72 hours in the two week pay period, Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts working between the hours of 6am and 3:30pm; Monday - Thursday weeknight on call rotation (approximately 1 per week); occasional weekend on call and Holiday on call rotation. On call is paid at \$4.50 per hour and when called in it\'s \$1.45 more per hour and time and a half. This position is also eligible for our critical needs bonus for someone with experience, which is \$500 bonus on hire and another \$500 bonus at 6 months. APPLY NOW. JOB SUMMARY: To maintain the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection. To assist the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures and sponges during surgery. Provides care for patients and families as delegated by the nurse in accordance with the appropriate minimum standard of care. Prepares and sterilizes all equipment used within the operating room and gastroenterology room. Assists MD and RN with gastroenterology procedures and assists RN with pre and post procedure tasks as delegated. MAJOR JOB FUNCTION: Before an operation, helps set up the operating room and organizes sterile table with surgical instruments and equipment, sterile linens and sterile solutions. Prepares gastroenterology room for procedure. Checks, audits and operates equipment such as lights, suction machines, electrosurgical units, diagnostic equipment,, orthopedic and endoscopy equipment. Performs decontamination, sterilization and repackaging of supplies used throughout the hospital.
