About the Role

Responsible for the completion of reconciliations and timely resolution of outstanding exception items in accordance with established Bank policies. This includes evaluating processes for operational efficiencies.

What You Will Do

  1. Performs the daily reconciliation of general ledger, correspondent bank and DDA accounts related to bank operations.

  2. Coordinates general ledger entries related to bank reconciliations, including ATM/ITM settlement.

  3. Ensures all transactions are accurately accounted for within the reconciliation.

  4. Research reconciliation discrepancies and escalates to management, as required.

  5. Analyzes workflow disruptions and aligns with stakeholders to determine root causes and action plans.

  6. Evaluates processes to determine efficiency opportunities and makes recommendations to management.

  7. Leads and coordinates activities of other lower-level staff members performing reconciliations.

  8. Directs retail branch network regarding research/questions.

  9. Responds to both internal and external audit requests.

  10. Performs other duties as directed by Management.

What We Expect of You

  • Expertise in accurately completing reconciliations.

  • Strong familiarity with a variety of reconciliation concepts, practices, and procedures as it relates to bank operations.

  • Strong analytical and technical skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including v-lookups, pivot tables, and formulas.

  • Ability to effectively work to accomplish tasks on an independent basis.

  • Ability to clearly provide information and instruction to others.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in order to meet deadlines.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 3-5 years reconciliation experience, preferably in a banking environment.

Internal and External Contacts

Internal contact with all levels of Bank personnel.

External contact related to reconciliation process.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Office environment. Ability to operate computer. Ability to communicate in order to exchange simple to complex information with individuals and groups. Ability to travel throughout Bank footprint.
