Blue Bird Orchards, LLC. has Orchard Seasonal work and is looking for employee(s) who can meet the essential functions of this position. (when Orchard seasonal work is available)
Seasonal JOBS: Pruning (dormant and summer), Thinning, Planting, Tree training, Harvest Support (tractor driving, checker, loader), Mowing, Irrigation, Spraying (including portable spraying and weed spraying), Brush/debris removal, Propping General labor including Fire Blight removal (may require more specialized experience/training), fertilizing, frost control, gopher and mouse trapping/removal, grafting, hand weeding/weed trimming, mating disruption application, repair & maintenance, general tractor work. Seasonal Full-time work may be available; the timeframe varies based on labor activities from January through December 2024.

The hours can be up to 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, during the harvest peak. Usually, the Main hours are Monday through Friday. Hours vary based on the time of season and the work that needs to be performed. No work is guaranteed and subject to change based on need of labor requirements.
Rate of Pay - You will be paid at the following rate (rate per hour or piecework). See FLCA Statement addendum for pay rates for piecework, min. The wage is $16.28 per hour. Wages ranges for various labor activities - $16.28. Ask when applying for the current disclosure.

DOE and Job activities.
Housing/Boarding will be provided under the following conditions/costs: Boarding is offered to those who cannot return to their permanent home at the end of the day.
The equipment and clothing the employer will provide each worker (the required Personal Protective Equipment is included here) include pruning shears, gloves, a saw, grafting materials, safety glasses, a safety vest, overalls, and ear protection. Also, any PPE related to COVID-19 protection, such as shields, masks, and gloves, is required.
