Summary:
The Revenue Controller will be responsible for all aspects of revenue accounting, with primary emphasis on US GAAP accounting standards. The Revenue Controller will review all relationships with customers, assess the nature of the transactions, and business practices to account for and communicate information about arrangements with customers. In addition to monthly accounting and reporting of revenue, this person will provide guidance for and implement process improvements, as well as identify revenue control risks and ensure effective implementation and documentation of revenue control plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead revenue accounting cycle and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition and client invoicing
Ensure timely and accurate analysis of actuarial materials, incorporating those into USGAAP accounting models
Ensure effective documentation surrounding the use of estimates
Design, implement and monitor effective maintenance of revenue controls
Compile and present actionable revenue information to others in the organization
Partner with finance and business operations team to continuously improve accounting processes
Drive transformative projects, analysis development and system updates/customizations
Implement internal controls and standards
Understand and enhance system integrations and process automation

Required Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Eight to twelve years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
Experience with and knowledge of:
GAAP
Preferred:
CPA certification or MBA is preferred
Public accounting experience

This job operates in a professional setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Normal manual dexterity is required.
