Computer Task Group (CTG) is seeking experiencedzOS Systems/Applications Programmers (Hybrid)for a long term contract opportunity with our Fortune 100 client in Poughkeepsie, NY. This positionwill be 100% remote.
This project is supporting the Mainframe testing group. This group is the “last line of defense” before the products head to manufacturing and ultimately the consumer. This project targets automation to increase capabilities of this department. Automating current processes and implementing new ways to further increase efficiencies through automation.
Ahybrid positioncontaining z/OS Systems and Application Programmer tasks
Perform Systems and Unit Testing
Use of Configuration Management Tools
Use of Application Development skills
z/OS Mainframe experiencean absolute must have– more recent experience desired
IBM z/OS NetView experience
Python Scripting or other scripting languages
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
