We are currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Team Lead to be based in our Gallery Specialty Hardware office in North York, Ontario Canada .

Job Summary

As the Shipping & Receiving Team Lead, you are a dynamic, flexible, and hardworking leader that will be responsible for leading the Warehouse Team, delivery operations and assisting with the maintenance of the organization’s manufacturing facility. You will ensure our products are available to meet the Customer's needs as well as ensuring warehouse assets are maintained to meet the supply chain demands. You will provide coverage and manage the duties and responsibilities of the Plant Manager when required (vacations / personal days).

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all customer orders are shipped accurately and on time

  • Interact with customers onsite for shipments, and schedule couriers for pickup

  • Receive inbound freight, and properly stack and pack products onto shelves for inventory while ensuring adequate stock levels

  • Track Work Orders, including prioritizing workflow, ensuring product demand meets customer timelines

  • Organize and assign tasks for the Shippers/Receivers and follow-up for completion

  • Participate in the communication and rollout of projects, implementations and changes

  • Assist with training, mentoring, and guiding employees pertaining to daily operations and processes

  • Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Active participation with Health and Safety initiatives

  • Assist in the maintenance and safe upkeep of all tools and equipment

  • Other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Team Lead or Supervisor role within a manufacturing environment

  • Experience supervising and leading projects

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and JDE

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment; some dust and noise

  • Ability to continuously stand for extended periods of time

  • Lifting, bending, and moving products, carts, and skids
