Canadian Tire Associate Product Manager, Content Management Automation in Toronto, Ontario

What you’ll do

As an Associate Product Manager, Content Management Automation, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and automating product content for Canadian Tire Corp. Reporting to the Product Manager, Content Management & Capabilities on the Digital team, your primary responsibility will be to implement and improve the various Content Management products to support content marketing programs, content personalization enablement, and associated enterprise-wide change management. This role will also help support enabling AI capabilities for optimizing or generating product content in collaboration with our IT team.

  • Support the Product Owner of numerous Enterprise Content & Product Management Products with the goal of getting products and content delivered faster.

  • Investigate ways through AI & Automation to reduce manual steps performed by members of the product content team and implement improvements with existing or new capabilities.

  • Find efficiencies in our current ways of working that can lead to resources working on getting our product content to be stronger

  • Define and write the requirements for the product(s) roadmap(s) and work with the technology teams and technology providers in an Agile workflow.

  • Owning or supporting the end-to-end product delivery process, including concepting and strategy, design, development, QA, and post-launch growth.

  • Support change management across impacted teams as new capabilities are rolled out.

  • Managing and organizing roadmaps and estimates for each project, assessing projects from a creative, business, and technological viewpoint throughout the design and development phase.

  • Be at the frontline of support for any operational issues that arise with a product.

  • Establish and maintain project schedules, plan resources, provide stakeholders project status updates, and keep project on time, on budget, and of high quality.

  • Perform ongoing market research to identify new content technology opportunities and work with our channel owners to test and learn new opportunities, with the goal of ensuring stronger content for the customer

Note: Although this role will work closely with our IT and Digital Technology group, this is a business role versus an IT role.

What you bring

  • 6+ years of experience working in product management, technology management on the business side, ideally in a content management, digital or similar environment.

  • University education in business/commerce, technology, or a related field is required.

  • Has been closely involved in the launch of a new product or technology transformation from start to finish.

  • Experience working with Content Management Platforms including Digital Asset Management (DAM) Platforms, Product Content Management Platforms, Product Information Management Platforms, and/or other related solutions is required

  • Experience in optimizing eCommerce or digital customer experiences.

  • Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition

  • Strong experience rolling out technology programs impacting cross-functional teams

  • Strong experience in change management planning and execution

  • Proficiency in writing requirements following SAFe methodologies.

  • SAFe Certification or any related Agile certification is a strong asset.

  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically

  • A genuine ability to learn quickly and explore unfamiliar challenges.

  • A genuine love for the web, marketing, and content is a must.

  • Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills are required.
