Job Description:

Reporting to the VP of AML, Data Modelling and Analytics, Enablement, and Innovation, we are looking for an accomplished leader to join our team as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of AML Data Operations and Support. This pivotal role involves managing a team of business application professionals and project delivery experts to ensure effective and timely business support for AML operations and application project initiatives. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, oversee change management, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Business Operations Practices to support the delivery of BAU processes for applications.

  • Serve as the Operational Excellence Champion for the business.

  • Oversee the deployment and change management for initiatives/projects across all project tiers.

  • Support projects in developing operational practices to integrate data and technology projects into Operational Processes.

  • Maintain a 3-year delivery roadmap to provide vision, clarity, and alignment with the business’s strategic direction.

  • Oversee financial planning and management processes within the Operations budget.

  • Ensure accurate forecasting and management of Operation budgets across multiple applications, adhering to Finance standards.

  • Manage documentation for Business Operations and Project artifacts (e.g., Operations Manuals, BRD, SRS, Test Plans).

  • Take overall accountability for managing operational risk and controls.

  • Communicate effectively with executives and management regarding Business Operations.

  • Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements under Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and the Office of the Chief Data Officer.

  • Establish effective relationships with business and technology partners, program, and project managers.

  • Manage the in-take of new projects and allocate Business Systems Analyst resources effectively across the project portfolio.

  • Communicate and negotiate timelines, budget, staffing, scope, and critical milestones with project managers and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure the team maintains compliance with procedure guidelines to achieve satisfactory audit results.

  • Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and other business units, including cross-functional groups or committees (e.g., Data Councils).

Shared Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with Businesses and Corporate Functions to identify, assess, control, test, and monitor AML Risk.

  • Provide advice on the degree of AML Risk associated with various activities and relationships, ensuring appropriate risk controls.

Ownership:

  • Responsible for the escalation/reporting of AML risk matters to the GSET.

  • Oversee GSET process decisions and approval authorities in accordance with US and Enterprise policies.

  • Design and implement AML Program elements related to the Business.

  • Report AML risk matters to the CRO and/or senior Business management.

Influence:

  • Oversee the implementation of enterprise regulatory projects affecting business units.

  • Influence business decisions regarding new products, services, and markets with significant AML components.

  • Ensure business processes comply with AML regulations.
