Parity Bookkeeper in Toronto, Ontario
Parity Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Bookkeeper and Office Manager. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to various areas of the finance department from day to day bookkeeping to accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to various reconciliation and compliance tasks. In addition, the candidate may support ad hoc projects and tasks as required by the finance team. We are looking for someone hungry, eager to learn, and passionate about the energy and Cleantech space!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Posting invoices from suppliers, consultants, etc
Posting employee expense claim reimbursements
Post corporate credit card transactions
Vendor/ Employee reimbursement payment run
Generate and send out customer invoices
Set up any recurring customer invoices
Prepare JE for deferred revenue and other recurring JE's as requested
Apply customer/vendor payments
Settle automatic payments and post accordingly
Bank and Credit Card reconciliations
Maintain prepaid expense/insurance schedules
Month-end JE such as depreciation and payroll journal entries
Assist with payroll processes
Assist with HST Submission
Prepare analysis of accounts receivable and follow up with clients
Assist in various analysis and reconciliations as needed
Some additional Administrative duties to be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3+ years experience in Accounting
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to self-learn and take initiative
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Continuous improvement mindset and superior organizational skills.
Advanced Excel and experience working with accounting systems (Experience with Xero an asset).
Team-oriented and collaborator, committed to the organization and its vision
Have completed post secondary education, with a College diploma at minimum
Position Status: full time, 40 hours per week, hybrid
Work location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario
