Insight Global Data Engineer Lead in Toronto, Ontario
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for two Lead Data Engineers to join a large Asset Management company in Toronto on a full time basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading projects end-to-end within the Data distribution team. This role is heavily hands on and requires strong experience with cloud data services technologies, data pipelines/distribution, and Python/PySpark scripting. This is a hybrid role where candidates are required to go into office mandatory 3 days/week at their downtown Toronto location.

Skills and Requirements
University Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
7-10 years experience in Data Engineering roles within any industry
5+ years experience with public cloud platforms (AWS Preferred)
Strong experience building data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and PowerShell
Strong experience with data technologies such as Hadoop, EMR, and Glue
Strong Experience with Lambda, Airflow, and EC2
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams - Previous experience working in asset management or financial industry null
