The Headlines

In the role of Key Account Manager- Non-Alcoholic Beverages working in Toronto you will be part of this exciting new team of Emerging Growth. The KAM is responsible for the development and execution of Molson Coors Canada’s Customer First growth plans, within a select number of Key Accounts within Grocery, Drug and Mass based out of our Carlingview location (Loblaws, SDM, Metro ON and UNFI and other smaller accounts). The KAM will develop and execute annual customer plans which will deliver dollar and volume growth.

The Emerging Growth team is looking for someone who will embrace change, roll up their sleeves to get the job done, question the current way we go to market and make recommendations that will shape the future of our business. This team member will be dynamic, engaging and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.

This position reports to Sarah Kelemen – Customer Sales Lead, Non-Alcoholic Beverages and will work closely with cross functional teams consisting of Sales, Customer Marketing, Revenue Management, Customer Insight, Supply Chain and Finance.

The Responsibilities :

  • Deliver Molson Coors volume, share and profit targets at assigned Grocery accounts

  • Develop and implement annual business plans including volume objectives, trade spending requirements, strategies which are consistent with corporate strategies

  • Lead the transition from a broker managed relationship, to a direct selling relationship with assigned accounts utilizing broker tools

  • Prepare and present regular business reviews providing category insights, customer POS performance, trends, recommendations and follow ups

  • Provide thought leadership on development and execution of Molson Coors assortment strategy, promotional pricing and promotional plans at assigned accounts

  • Daily administrative tasks such as listing sheets, deal sheets, customer specific templates, ad hoc reports, etc.

  • Provide post promotion analysis using POS resources to drive growth and efficiencies

  • Maintain an ongoing list of distribution opportunities, risks, and gap closures

  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills

  • Act as the primary point of contact with assigned customers

  • Champion the “Voice of the Customer” within Molson Coors

The Other Qualifications:

  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy

  • You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business

  • You are serious about results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering

  • You have a minimum of 4 years of sales experience in a packaged goods environment

  • You have 1-2 years’ experience calling on key accounts or sitting on the other side as a retail category manager

  • You are data driven with a strong analytical bend and innately curious to understand the why

  • You are able to champion the resources of cross functional teams and influence others and possess strong project management capabilities

  • You are computer literate; strong command of Microsoft; Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications

  • You are willing to travel throughout Canada (5% - 10%)
