This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior supervisor or manager within the protective services industry. If you have a strong sense of urgency and keen attention to detail our team is looking to add someone who can independently manage, establish, maintain and reviewing work schedules for a portfolio of posts. You will match available guards to posts, notify employees of schedules and changes and control costs through the implementation of effective scheduling strategies.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management and operation of the Security Operations Centre including day to day operations and escalating incidents as needed.

Security Operations Centre Operator Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Conduct video guard tours and immediate response to software alarms when required.

  • Coordinate responses to identified security events on a client's site and contacting the appropriate emergency service(s) to respond to a verified security event as needed

  • Coordinate with installation and service department for all submitted service tickets of camera utilization/addition including the visibility on the site during nighttime

  • Ensure proper camera direction, PTZ/fixed cameras/motions functionality

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of, and adhere to, site protocols

  • Check to ensure all systems are online, noting any malfunctions and notify the monitoring centre manager of all issues

  • Maintain accurate records of all incidents on a site and prepare incident reports for any security events

  • Provide written and/or electronic information and updates for relieving personnel or incoming shift(s)

  • Work towards developing best business practices for the monitoring center

  • Monitor HVAC/BAS systems as requested

  • Intercom response and system checks.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Specific qualifications for this position include:

  • Valid Ontario Security Licence

  • Prior experience (2 years) in as a Security Supervisor or Security Control Centre Operator

  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate

  • Software proficiency in C-Cure and ISL access control, and IndigoVision video management system.

  • Knowledge of emergency management procedures and protocols.

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports

  • Schedule flexibility

  • Prior knowledge & experience of fire systems
