Avanade Inc. Senior D365 F&SCM Developer in Toronto, Ontario

As a Dynamics 365 F&O Development Lead, you and your team will be responsible for transforming functional designs into deployable code to implement customizations to Microsoft’s base D365FO solutions, leading data migrations from legacy business systems and implementing integrations between D365FO and other third-party systems and services. You will play a key role in analyzing performance issues in the ERP system and troubleshooting issues encountered during functional, integration and acceptance testing. You will have the opportunity to lead geographically distributed development teams.
What you’ll do:
Creates and implements work plans for assigned projects, programs, and/or clients against established operational objectives
Supports translation of group strategy into objectives and work plans.
Provides operational leadership for large-scale, strategically critical work efforts requiring significant coordination.
Mentors and manages work efforts of more junior colleagues and team members as required by various workstreams; may formally supervise work of project teams. If managing team(s) of more junior employees full-time, then refer to the People & Business Leadership leveling criteria.
Design, develop, document, test and debug new modules and extensions in Dynamics 365 F&O
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation
Skills and Experiences
Experience with integrations with external applications, systems or web services particularly using web API based integrations.
Previous understanding of how to build and release management using Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Services.
Previous project experience with data migration from legacy or third-party systems into Dynamics 365 F&O.
Ability to write technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements or in collaboration with the client and Avanade team.
Previous experience with using Azure Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake) to support the implementation of Dynamics 365 F&O.
Previous experience working and integrating with other Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, including Commerce, Customer Engagement, Field Service, Project Operations and Sales, leveraging Power Platform, Dataverse and Dual Write.
Previous experience leading and mentoring junior developers and performing code reviews, defining, and implementing code branching and merging.
