What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect in Enterprise Solution Design team, you will join CIBC’s Technology department responsible for the delivery of technology in support of all CIBC businesses and customers. The Enterprise Solution Design team delivers world class solutions in support of business strategies, through a combination of in-house systems development and working with leading technology partners. In addition, the team also manages CIBC's core computing facilities, telecommunications and networks globally. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Technology organization, focusing on an integrated approach to operations, service delivery, planning and the processes supporting CIBC. As a part of the Tech Ops organization, you will also be responsible for enterprise services such as email, Telecom, Disaster Recovery, Network Servers, Availability, Change Management and partnership with providers. Additionally, in conjunction with other members of the Solution Design team, you will work with key Business and Technology Partners to deliver infrastructure design and implementation for Technology Operations (TO) and Corporate Real Estate (CRE) projects. The designs include platform selection and sizing, data management design, Disaster Recovery solutions, high availability design, real estate moves, setup of new facilities and sites, migration approach and other Infrastructure requirements. Additionally, the job entails working in partnership with various architecture groups, Platform Managers, Information Security and Risk management, and Engineering teams to design Infrastructure solutions that meet CIBC standards. Also, during the project implementations, you will work alongside the Project Manager to support design issues as well as assist in the integration of distinct products to form the infrastructure in which an application will be installed on. You will act as a focal point for escalations on major technical issues within the Engineering teams, Global Command Centre, Solution Centre, Application & Infrastructure Support, Product and Service Vendors, and Corporate Real Estate across all regions in which CIBC operates. You will also review and creation of proposals in support of business requirements as well as provide infrastructure cost and design estimates and consultation as it relates to application integration.

How You’ll Succeed
Infrastructure Design: You’ll provide the infrastructure design viewpoint in relation to the Enterprise in selecting technologies to facilitate service integration activities. You’ll design solutions that include platform selection and sizing, data management design, disaster recovery, high availability design, migration approach and other infrastructure requirements. You’ll analyze processes, projects and technical risk, and estimate project work effort where new technology is involved and where no guidelines may already exist.
Design & Develop: You’ll build a solution design that reflects the integration of business logic, processes, and data mapped to defined business requirements. You will help guide the Solution Delivery Team in the implementation of the infrastructure solution design and in conjunction with other Solution Design team members, you’ll work with key business and Technology partners to deliver infrastructure design and implementation for Technology Operations (TO) and Application Development (AD) projects.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 5+ experience in infrastructure design and have strong experience with Servers (Windows, UNIX- Solaris, RedHat Linux), Network, Storage and Hardware. It is an asset if you have experience with Cloud, Security and Databases.
