What you’ll be doing

As the Senior Manager, Advisor Marketing you will be responsible to support a team of high performing individuals (marketing and social media consultants supported by a designer) well versed on the Private Wealth Advisor marketing landscape to ensure the understanding of business strategic direction and create advisor marketing strategies that ladder up to key business objectives. You will also lead the delivery of small to mid-scale marketing programs for the Advisor channel. This includes liaising with Advisory teams and internal agency partners in the creation of: ads, websites, brochures, profile sheets, advertorials, media requests, newsletters, eDirects, blogs, podcasts, invitations, presentations, evites, ecards and templates.

How you’ll succeed

  • Marketing & Communications - Create and lead effective strategic business development and marketing solutions for Advisors and teams to grow business assets via awareness and prospecting efforts, referral methods and client retention. Streamline and scale digital and traditional business development and marketing processes and assist Advisors and their team with capabilities developing deeper, long-term relationships with their clients. Ensure IAs are upholding and being consistent with brand. Oversee the periodic updating of Private Wealth Marketing and Communications reference guidelines. Collaborate across Private Wealth to explore innovative ways to deliver client content and develop tools. This includes the consulting on the evaluation, development and implementation of continuous value-added marketing solutions for the benefit of segmented distribution channels.

  • Trends & Best Practices - Stay abreast of industry trends and marketing best practices including new products/services, changes in regulations, shifts in consumer behaviour or emerging technologies to help inform the direction of the advisor marketing offering. Oversee management and continuous improvement of Private Wealth Advisor Marketing operational processes.

  • Frontline Marketing - Collaborate with Marketing Governance colleagues who engage on regulatory communications support and manage the review of frontline materials to external audiences. Lead the ongoing strategy supporting frontline enablement and advisor marketing.

  • Relationship Building & Leadership - Leverage well-developed leadership, management, and strategic-thinking in a highly collaborative environment. Develop and maintain strong relationships as first point of contact team lead with CIBC’s various cross-functional teams, including: National services, sales, communications, digital, governance, legal, media relations, practice management, training, product groups, various LOBs and business partners to evaluate current business, and identify existing opportunities for improved business growth and efficiency. Solution oriented leadership and management across ambiguous and complex business issues, challenges and problems.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 5-7 years of experience in advertising and marketing and wealth management supporting frontline advisors. Seasoned in Advisor Wealth business and marketing approaches and methodologies. Agency experience is an asset.

  • You know that details matter. You have the ability to collect information, analyze data, identify root cause, determine KPIs and suggest solutions. You apply strong analytical/conceptual skills and knowledge in creative ways to solve general or ambiguous business issues, challenges and problems.

  • You’re goal oriented. You possess the ability to identify, measure and present business opportunities and implement successful strategies to capitalize on them.

  • You act like an owner. You have the ability to work at a strategic level, which requires awareness of business issues, processes, and outcomes as they impact CIBC Private Wealth, our Wood Gundy IAs, Private Banking, Trust, Private Investment Counsel and our clients.

  • It’s an asset if you’re fluent in French.
