What You’ll Be Doing

CIBC Asset Management is among the largest asset managers in Canada with over $200 billion in assets under management. CIBC Asset Management offers and supports a variety of investment products to meet the needs of investors in the Institutional, Mass, Mid and High Net Worth market segments. In this role you will build and lead the execution of data-informed product marketing strategies for CIBC Asset Management’s investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and managed solutions. Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing, the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, you will be a critical partner across the entire business, working closely with Product, Global Distribution, and the rest of the Wealth Marketing team to bring the right value proposition, positioning, messaging, and channel strategies to life.

How you’ll succeed

  • Product positioning and messaging - With a strong understanding of the investment industry, you will work closely with the product team to combine complex product information with expert storytelling to craft compelling positioning and messaging of our investment funds in the market.

  • Campaign development and execution - Integrate business goals and project objectives to lead and develop compelling marketing campaigns across owned and paid media, working with internal and external agencies and media partners.

  • Relationship and stakeholder management - Partner with internal stakeholders to understand the business objectives and identify marketing opportunities based on insights, market research and other relevant data. You will build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Measure impact - Establish measures of success for marketing campaigns and share progress, insights, and recommendations for optimizing results with other team members and leaders across the organization.

Who you are

  • You have a degree with a specialization in Marketing, Business or Commerce (CFA, CIM, CSC considered an asset).

  • You can demonstrate 7-10 years of experience in marketing. Experience working with media, including advertising, sponsored content and PR is also necessary.

  • You’re goal oriented. You have a proven track record of marketing of investment products (mutual funds, ETFs, managed solutions), and a deep working knowledge of asset classes and distribution channels.

  • Your influence makes a difference. You are an exceptional presenter who can identify themes, build a creative narrative and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders.

  • You engage with your heart and mind. You have the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks and projects effectively within a defined timeline including the ability to manage agency scope of work, budgets, and invoicing.

  • You're digitally savvy. You have working knowledge of Morningstar Direct, Seismic, Adobe and Microsoft Office
