Position Overview:

We areseekingan experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager to lead our content discovery effortswithin our digital platforms. In this role, you will be at the forefront ofbuildinguser experiencesthat empower Canadians to explore stories that matter the most to them, anytime of day,on the go in the app,at work on their computer,orrelaxingon their tablet.Partnered with a Product Designer, you will work closely withthe newsroom as well as othercross-functional teams to ensure that our users can easily find,consumeandengage withour award-winning journalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and drive the product vision and strategy for content discovery, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals andobjectives.

  • User-Centric Design: Advocate for the user by understanding their needs, behaviors, and feedback. Create innovative solutions that improve content discovery and personalization.

  • Cross-Platform Alignment : Coordinate with development teams to align features, design, and functionality across different operating systems and devices (such as web, iOS, Android, and desktop). Prioritize and synchronize product releases, manage platform-specific challenges, andmaintaina cohesive product vision that meets user needs irrespective of the platform.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilizeanalytics and user insights to inform product decisions, measure success, and iterate on features to enhance user engagement and retention.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, editorial,revenueand marketing teams to deliver high-quality product features on time and within budget.

  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to keep our content discovery featurescutting-edge.

  • Roadmap Management: Define and prioritize the product roadmap, balancing short-term improvements with long-term strategic initiatives.

  • A/B Testing: Implement and manage A/B tests tovalidatehypotheses and ensure the effectiveness of new features and improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on content discovery,news media,personalization,audience engagementor related fields.

  • Leadership: Proventrack recordof leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from concept to launch.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making and A/B testing.

  • User Focus: Deep understanding of user experience design principles and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
