About this Opportunity:
The Intern in the Procurement Sourcing Analyst position will enjoy a stimulating and challenging work environment with opportunities to develop skills while working in a highly motivated team. You will the opportunity to work in the Corporate Supply Chain and develop Supply chain/commodity business practices, communications, analytical skills, advance proficiency in various Microsoft products, project management experience and Global site interaction.
As this position involves work that is subject to the Canadian Government's Controlled Goods Program (CGP), your employment offer is conditional upon the successful completion of a security assessment by Celestica and/or its authorized agents, per the Controlled Goods Regulations.

Excellent PC skills (database software and major desktop applications)
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (analysis, pivot tables & vlookup)
Excellent time management
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively autonomously once trained
Excellent analytical report writing and problem solving skills
Flexibility to work extended hours as per customer needs
Knowledge of Manufacturing, Procurement and electronics industry is an asset
Power BI is an asset
Activities:
Maintain or research a supplier at commodity level.
Research commodity pricing as a trend.
Create presentations and reports using Excel, Access & Power Point.
Run Total Cost of Ownership (TOC) analysis.
Send and negotiate quote tenders with suppliers to establish cost and set pricing.
Have exposure to SAP and internal databases and applications. In some case will work with business and IT to maintain and develop new applications.
Consolidate, tabulate, analyze and report on various topics, commitments and performance metrics.
Supports the site SCM buying teams in times of product shortage or suppliers not meeting performance requirements including escalation within the supplier and alternative source development/recommendations.
Support customers to resolve quality, serviceability and performance related issues for products.
Have the opportunity to develop and maintain various business processes.
Work autonomously and be given more complex duties.
Work with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members.
Work with colleagues and suppliers around the globe gaining international experience.
Physical Demands
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

Education: Currently enrolled in an Internship program completing 3rd year of 4-year University program or 2nd year of 3-year Diploma program specializing in Business, Supply Chain & Operations, or Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace).
