Aston Carter Automotive Service Technician in Torrance, California

Job Title: Automotive Service TechnicianJob Description

We are only considering candidates from a Honda or Acura Dealership. Provide oversight and management of the RPO orders placed for transmissions and HV batteries, including dealer follow-up for analysis and data collection as necessary. Assist with Admin functions as directed by management. Secondary: Develop and maintain daily reports related to Tech Line call Center metrics.

Hard Skills

  • High School Diploma

  • 2 years Automotive Trade School or AA in Automotive Technology or equivalent preferred

  • ASE certifications preferred

  • 5 Years automobile service shop experience (Hands-on repair experience at a Honda or Acura dealership is preferred)

  • Driving record background check and approval to operate company vehicles (limited/rare vehicle usage during work hours)

  • Good grammar and ability to articulate technical information via phone

  • Strong MS Excel skills

  • Build reports and dashboards

  • Analyze various data sources

  • Basic understanding of automobile components/functions

  • Emphasis on automatic transmission operation and high voltage batteries

Soft Skills

  • Efficient time management

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills
