The Job:

The Director, Career Development & Talent Pipeline will be responsible for the oversight, creation, and execution of talent development programs, in conjunction with the Head of Enterprise Talent & Performance Enablement. This role is an integral part of the Talent & Organizational Capability (T&OC) COE team and will be charged with the ownership of our career development programs. This individual will be expected to lead, design, implement, manage, facilitate, evaluate, and identify continuous improvements in our career development programs. The Director, Career Development & Talent Pipeline will need to stay aligned with the business’ goals in collaboration with our Executive Sponsors, HR stakeholders and the T&OC Leadership team. In this role, you’ll be located in New Britain, CT, valley City, OH or Towson, MD, otherwise you’ll be remote. You’ll get to:

  • Partner with executive stakeholders to establish the strategy and vision for modern career development programs across the company which align to the business’ strategic objectives

  • Assess organizational capabilities, processes, structures, and talent within and across the enterprise and how career development programs supplement those business needs

  • Work with Learning & Leadership Development T&OC pillar to identify clear learning objectives aligned with current and future developmental needs of the learner population that are understood/valued by all stakeholders.

  • Build the next generation of high potential talent for the enterprise, implement process for early identification, career accelerator assignments and leadership awareness / networking

  • Develop deep understanding of key early career talent within the organization to promote talent sharing across the business

  • Serve as the owner/main point of contact for career development programs and lead the team supporting the programs to ensure on time execution that is high impact and within budget

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to leverage technology and/or vendor offerings to enhance programs.

  • Establish mechanisms and metrics to assess the effectiveness of career development programs, and continuously iterate for improvement, making evidence-based enhancements that strengthen learning outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Functional Stakeholders and Human Resources to identify strategic talent acquisition needs and build a proactive strategy for early career program growth

  • Partner with early career program managers globally to manage impact campaigns at key University’s to maximize talent pipelines

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 10 years of previous experience in a variety of Human Resource or Leadership roles with increasing scope of responsibility, including prior roles on organization and talent development

  • Prior experience in managing and leading teams

  • Strong understanding of executive development

  • A proven track record of successfully working as a business partner with a senior management team, building trusting and effective relationships with leaders across the enterprise preferred

  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing change and developing leaders required

  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Strong assessment skills coupled with excellent judgment and perspective on human resources issues

  • Intellectual curiosity and inclusive leadership with a passion for continuous learning and development.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to analyze and present data effectively.

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to think outside the box and passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement

  • Willing to travel approximately 25%
