Job Description
We are looking for a Cloud Architect to design, develop, implement, utilize, and conform to enterprise cloud architecture application solutions, strategies, processes, and standards, focusing on expertise in cloud technologies. This position will be full-time contract and hybrid.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, implement, utilize, and conform to enterprise cloud architecture application solutions, strategies, processes, and standards, focusing on expertise in cloud technologies
Collaborate with business owners, Analysts, Engineers, development teams, and infrastructure services to define, establish, and communicate application and data architecture standards, policies, and directions
Design high-quality architectures and drive architecture activities that are aligned with organization requirements set by leadership on behalf of stakeholders and are consistent with enterprise architectural standards
What You'll Need
Required:
2+ years' experience in Migrating from On-prem to Cloud using cloud infrastructure on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions
4+ years' experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, SSM, EBS AND Cloud formation
5+ years' professional hands-on IT experience working with Windows Server or Linux environments
5+ years' experience working with Agile Methods and modern technology environments
2 years' experience leading cross-functional project teams, workgroups
4 years' interpersonal and leadership skills that demonstrate collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, conflict management, and influence
Preferred:
Knowledge and experience with some of the major CSPs (AWS, Azure, IBM & Google)
Experience designing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS architectures
Knowledge of Service Registries and Cloud brokers
Understands Stateful and Stateless services
Knowledge of web services technologies- Restful services
Understands distributed systems, databases, and search systems
Experience in establishing and implementing governance model for the Cloud Migration and transformation efforts
Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in an AWS cloud environment
Demonstrated proficiency in understanding enterprise architecture life cycle methodologies
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
