About the Opportunity
As a BIM Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and development of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes within our projects. You will work closely with the BIM Manager, Project Engineering Manager, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure BIM standards are met, information is effectively managed, and digital engineering processes are efficiently utilized. Key responsibilities will be:
Provide a supporting role to upskill BIM knowledge among internal colleagues, as well as external consultants and subcontractors.
Develop and cross-check model information, including clash detection and validation of non-graphical information.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Strategy.
Support the Engineering teams in ensuring CAE assurance and compliance with project and client requirements.
Direct, monitor, and participate in new developments and enhancements to support project and client requirements.
Facilitate the effective use of created data on projects, including maximizing the use of dashboards to provide timely information to project stakeholders.
Develop and maintain information management performance targets, such as KPIs and metrics.
Skills and Requirements
Experience in BIM and Computer Aided Design (CAD) in both 2D and 3D environments.
Practical knowledge of relevant software such as Revit, Inventor, Aveva E3D, Navisworks, and Plant3D.
Demonstrable experience of operating in an environment compliant with UK BIM Level 2.
Solid understanding of BIM and its benefits to the construction industry.
Experience gained in a large-scale mission-critical environment, ideally within a nuclear environment, either in a consultancy or as an end client.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively share BIM knowledge and processes with colleagues and stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Strong analytical skills for cross-checking model information and identifying inconsistencies.
Experience in maintaining and updating performance metrics and using digital tools to improve project delivery.
An enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in BIM and digital engineering.
