Sanders Lead Company Furnace Laborer in Troy, Alabama
Sanders Lead Company has openings for Furnace Assistants in the Furnace Department. Furnace Assistants will assist the Furnace Operators in maintaining a high production furnace while ensuring a clean, neat, and organized work area, and staying within the 6S guidelines. This is an introductory level position in which an employee may receive various training and work assignments to evaluate capabilities and suitability for other positions in the assigned work area. DUTIES:
- Follow all safety requirements and perform all job duties safely
- Follow tasks assigned by the shift foreman
- Cool the lead off coming out of the furnace into the button molds
- Pull the buttons after they have cooled
- Remove the hooks from the buttons
- Rotates pots to catch slag coming from the reverb furnace
- Clean up around the skip hoist and furnace
- Help separate the salt form the reverb slag
- Perform all other tasks assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understand and follows all safety requirements
- Must have a good work ethic
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to work within a team
- Must have good comprehension skills
- Must have a valid I.D.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening
