Currently located conveniently off I-75 on Stephenson Hwy just north of 14 Mile Road in Troy, MI, we manufacture and distribute the highest quality wire cloth, robotic guarding, and wire partition products for customers around the world.

  • $18.00* / Hour Starting Wage, with $0.50 / Hour raises every 6 months after date of hire

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Mig weld steel tube, angle, flat, wire mesh, and clips for robotic guarding safety fence panel, post, and gate stock-build job orders
  • Build all jobs in accordance with daily production rates
  • Complete order paperwork & tag and transfer completed orders to the painting department for powder coating
  • Setup, operate, and conduct daily preventative maintenance on the mig welding machine
  • Use shop floor equipment (grind wheels, cold saw, iron worker, etc.) as necessary
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and quality procedures
  • Daily communication with painting, order filling, sales, and management to ensure timely production of all stock build orders
  • React to change positively and with a customer-first mindset
  • Report on department inventory as scheduled or as necessary
  • Demonstrated competency may provide the opportunity to work on custom jobs built-to-print along with an increase in pay

Required Qualifications:

Must have great attention to detail (a high degree of accuracy in completing quality work the first time around is an absolute must)

Must possess a positive, can-do attitude and be self motivated

Must be team oriented and customer service driven

Must have an aptitude for learning & a willingness to be trained

1+ Year of mig welding experience preferred; ability to pass a mig welding test required

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Ability to lift 60 LBs; ability to stand, bend, and weld for long periods of time

Experience using shop equipment preferred (i.e. grind wheels, cold saw, iron worker, etc.)

Ability to use a tape measure, scale, calculator, micrometer, and caliper

Fundamental math skills (addition, subtraction, division, & multiplication)

Experience reading prints / drawings is a plus
