LEAD WAIT STAFF - EDDY MEMORIAL GERIATRIC - Per diem

Eddy Memorial Geriatric is located in Troy NY and a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners, is seeking a Food Service Worker to join its team in Food & Nutrition Services. The following description of the essential functions and performance expectations for this job are intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job, but are not intended to describe minor duties or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Position Summary:

  • Supervise other wait staff/food service workers to ensure that all jobs are done in a timely manner

  • Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies.

  • Work with nursing and other dining staff to serve residents

  • Ensures all food service department policies and safety rules are followed

  • Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays

  • Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths when needed

  • Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties in establishments, such as cafeterias or dining rooms, to facilitate customer service

  • Serve food to customers when waiters or waitresses need assistance

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior food service experience required, preferably in a lead position

  • Experience waiting tables preferred

Pay Range: $16.70 - $20.36

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
