Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Test Lab 2nd Shift Lead. You will own the testing process within the value stream for 2nd shift. Primary responsibility is to direct union personnel responsible for performing wheel and brake testing to support engineering requirements. This role will report to the Test Lab Manager.
Onsite: This position will work onsite at our Troy, OH Landing Systems Headquarters. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
2nd Shift Monday – Friday 3pm-11pm
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead 2nd shift test operations.
Review tasks and assign manpower as needed to provide continuity to meet test schedule demands.
Maintain efficient manpower and machine utilization to attain output.
Ensure compliance to safety requirements for self and 2nd shift operators.
Improve general housekeeping and 5s rating.
Drive company initiatives for CORE, quality improvements and cost reductions
Create Engineering videos.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years’ experience handling multiple assignments concurrently.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
Familiarity with machine controls, data acquisition and test systems.
Experience with wheel and brake build techniques and testing.

The salary range for this role is 59,000 USD - 125,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
