Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an entry-level Chemist to join a team of 10 other chemists for a large chemical and consumer goods company supporting the liquid detergents group. This person should have extremely good work ethic and excellent ability to follow directions when given. The main goal of this team is to perform tests in the lab on certain laundry products (detergents, liquids, etc.), and make sure the brand is accurate to consumers. For example: if a product is labeled "bright and white", the chemists will consistently run tests on the chemical composition to make sure the marketing of the packaging matches what the liquid can actually do. On a day to day basis, they will be given a batch, given a list of tasks or chemical tests that need to be run, and then will be given time to digest the information, as well as ask questions pertaining to the material. From there, they should be able to go ahead and perform those tasks based on the given batch. They will be reviewing and testing ingredients, temperature, viscosity, etc. and from there will record the tests in Excel in an organized matter. During the first week as a chemist, this person will be trained on safety procedures and handling certain equipment, as well as working together with the team. During the second week, they will be trained on batching. After the first month on contract and training is completed, they are expected to operate independently. All lab safety procedures should be followed and attention to detail is crucial.
Pay Rate: 25/hr

Skills and Requirements
Exposure working in a chemistry lab (can be during school), understanding basic lab procedures/safety protocols.
Understanding of the technical aspect in chemistry
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry
Excellent work ethic and professionalism
Experience with Microsoft office (Excel, word, etc.) Experience working in a lab outside of school null
