Job Title: Entry-Level BuyerJob Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Buyer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, communicating with the manufacturing team, obtaining quotes, and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand material requirements and production schedules.

  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production deadlines.

  • Address any issues related to material quality or delivery delays.

  • Request and evaluate quotes from multiple suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

  • Analyze quotes based on price, quality, and delivery terms.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

  • Place purchase orders and track their status to ensure timely delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.

  • Assist in managing inventory to avoid shortages or excess stock.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and products.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and pricing fluctuations.

  • Provide recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with procurement, supply chain, and purchasing processes.

  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.

  • Ability to manage purchase orders efficiently.

Work Environment

This position is onsite Monday through Friday in Tualatin. The work environment is collaborative and supportive, offering opportunities for professional growth and development. The role includes a competitive salary and benefits package.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
