Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Work Location: 4730 E. Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Willing to work in a very busy office

  • Greeting and checking in patients

  • Check patients out

  • Collecting copays - cash handling through checking insurance eligibility

  • Entering demographics and insurance in Allscript Practice Management (APM)

  • Complete tasks needed to help medical assistants and providers

  • Providing superb customer service

  • Be a team player, willing to help wherever needed

  • Friendly demeanor over the phone and in person

  • Multi-task on several projects throughout the day while paying close attention to detail

  • Handling walk-ins

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma/GED (or Higher)

  • 1+ year of customer service experience

  • 6+ months of medical office experience

  • Proven excellent phone etiquette

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background using EMR or EHR (electronic medical records/electronic health records)

  • Insurance eligibility processing experience

  • Knowledge of medical insurances (HMO, PPO, Medicare & etc.)

  • Bilingual Spanish/English
