This position is eligible for telecommuting for 3 months. Relocation to Tucson, Arizona will be required within 3 months after starting.
Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an opening for a Contract Manager as the Alternate Missions contracts lead in the Advanced Effectors portfolio within RMD’s Advanced Technology organization, which focuses on key pursuits as well as development efforts that serve as the growth engine and front end of the business, critical to the future growth of RMD.
The individual in this role will provide key support to captures and development programs within the Alternate Missions portfolio. This highly competitive total system development area requires quick turn proposal responses, robust Intellectual Property strategies, and novel contracting approaches. This position offers the candidate a broad opportunity to engage in varied contract activities across a portfolio of programs which includes strategic competitive pursuits.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs)
Conduct proposal reviews and coordination
Review estimate at completion (EAC)
Support program management and execution reviews
Develop Intellectual Property and investment strategy
Provide general contract administration support
Work closely with the Program Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit, and negotiate pricing proposals
Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues
Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 3 additional years of experience.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance or related field
8+ years of applicable business-related experience
Prior experience with US Government contracts
An active and in-scope Top Secret US security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
Experience managing development contracts
Experience as a program contracts lead
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust
Experience working is a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective
Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skills
Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals
Related contract administration experience including hands-on proposal preparation and contract negotiations with the US Department of Defense (DoD)
Experience with US Government and US Prime Contractor customers as well as end-user communities in the development and acquisition of major systems
Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements
Juris Doctor or MBA a plus
