Job Description
Set up and operate CNC Index Multispindle machines for medium to high-volume production.
Monitor machine performance and report any issues to your supervisor for quick resolution.
Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in work methods and processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Complete and update all necessary documentation related to machine operations and production.
Work Environment:
- Aerospace machine shop with multiple shifts available.
Requirements
Strong proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and excellent mathematical skills.
Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, and bore micrometers.
Ability to read and interpret CNC machining programs, understanding common ‘G’ and ‘M’ codes.
Familiarity with Siemens controls for lathe machines is a plus.
Experience with Index Multispindle machines is preferred.
Proficiency with Fanuc controls; experience with Acme Gridley, Davenport, and New Britain machines is beneficial.
Quick adaptability to operating and setting up Index MS-25 machines.
Ability to read part drawings and effectively apply GD&T principles.
