CNC Multispindle Machinist

Job Description

  • Set up and operate CNC Index Multispindle machines for medium to high-volume production.

  • Monitor machine performance and report any issues to your supervisor for quick resolution.

  • Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in work methods and processes.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

  • Complete and update all necessary documentation related to machine operations and production.

Work Environment:

  • Aerospace machine shop with multiple shifts available.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and excellent mathematical skills.

  • Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, and bore micrometers.

  • Ability to read and interpret CNC machining programs, understanding common ‘G’ and ‘M’ codes.

  • Familiarity with Siemens controls for lathe machines is a plus.

  • Experience with Index Multispindle machines is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Fanuc controls; experience with Acme Gridley, Davenport, and New Britain machines is beneficial.

  • Quick adaptability to operating and setting up Index MS-25 machines.

  • Ability to read part drawings and effectively apply GD&T principles.
