This role in summary

The primary functions of the Support Tech Leader are to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in providing support and guidance to the maintenance team and to help ensure the continuous flow of production. The Support Tech Leader will work with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance Leadership to ensure the successful completion of projects. The Support Tech Leader will also play a large role in helping the maintenance organization achieve its goals and in the implementation of the PM Pillar of World Class Manufacturing.

1st shift 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Thursday

Hourly Pay Rate: $35.65 per hour

Your responsibilities will include

  • This is a “hands on” working lead position.

  • Support and reinforce all plant safety policies.

  • Meet daily with team members to coordinate the daily work schedule.

  • Serve as a subject matter resource to other team members.

  • Provide guidance for the team and be available for questions to clarify work activities.

  • Encourage other team members to provide input on work procedures/processes.

  • Identify practices that are not effective and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Provide training and guidance in 5’s, Kaizen and SAP activities for area.

  • Follow up to verify that the work was performed correctly.

  • Learn and teach WCM methodology.

  • Meet weekly with the Maintenance Supervisor and Planners for work clarification.

  • Other related duties.

Minimum requirements

  • 3 years Industrial Electrical/Mechanical experience.

  • Experience with PLCs and ladder logic.

  • Able to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Leadership experience is a plus.

  • Understanding of 24 to 480 voltages.

  • Good knowledge of mechanical parts. (chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings, etc.)

  • Good knowledge of electrical parts. (fuses, drives, conduit, wire sizes, etc.)

  • Ability to use plant maintenance software to find parts.

  • Use of Google, Microsoft Office products and SAP.

  • Must be able to certify on forklift, aerial lifts and other heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds.

  • Able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, etc for extended periods of time.
