This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Analyst Manufacturing Equipment Engineer opening to join our Process Transformation Team / Central Engineering in Tulsa, OK.
Whirlpool is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Equipment Engineer with a strong background in appliance manufacturing operations. As part of the Process Transformation Team, the successful candidate will work closely with NAR Cooking, Dish & Small Appliance manufacturing locations, Advanced Manufacturing and our new product organization to define, coordinate and manage the acquisition of necessary capital equipment to successfully manufacture and deliver winning new products to the marketplace.
The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing new Cooking products by providing manufacturing early design consultation services, while determining the anticipated impact to the existing manufacturing footprint, and establishing early capital budget estimates.
An Analyst Manufacturing Equipment Engineer will be accountable to acquire and manage the associated capital equipment for new products from conception through formal production handoff at the designated manufacturing location.

Your responsibilities will include
As the Process Transformation Analyst Engineer you will be accountable for supporting new product integration by providing manufacturing expertise to key functions of the business.
Working closely with primary NAR Tulsa,OK & Cleveland,TN manufacturing locations to define capital purchases.
Specifying through implementation and handoff of new equipment to manufacturing operations.
Improving speed in which we deliver winning products to the marketplace.
Ensuring that new manufacturing processes are flexible in design to accommodate long range new product cadence plans with the intent of minimizing future capital requirements.
Working closely with the Advanced Manufacturing Group to ensure that new processes are in compliance with the established Global Bill of Processes.
Leading projects and special assignments as required.
Use World Class Manufacturing and Early Equipment Management methodologies to execute the development and delivery of major projects. This will require collaboration with other WCM pillars and Factory operations.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2+ years of mechanical manufacturing experience or, in lieu of the Degree, a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of mechanical manufacturing experience
1+ years of experience working with AutoCad or 3D Modeling Software (SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor)
Preferred skills and experiences
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
Strong interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent project management skills
In-depth knowledge of cooking appliance fabrication, tooling and related manufacturing processes such as complex fabrication lines/cells that contain forming, piercing, bending, welding, robotics, etc.
Knowledge of assembly line conveyance systems.
Ability to translate component GD&T into equipment designs so that critical interfaces are assured.
Experience in new product introductions, including the direct planning and acquisition of the associated capital equipment.
Hands-on experience working in a heavily automated production environment is desired
Experience with acquiring and installing assets associated with mega projects from design to full commissioning.
Demonstrated history of gathering input from key stakeholders and gaining their buy-in.
Knowledge in translating technical concepts to commonly used business language.
Experience in machine building and high level concepting and relaying those ideas to the product design team for optimized manufacturing solutions.
Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and Google office apps.
WCM experience especially in the EEM pillar RSRWHRSRWH
