Job Description We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Consultant to support the Chegg Skills portfolio strategy and related research. This work is currently scoped to be completed in 2-3 months, with the possibility for extension based on business needs. The Senior Product Marketing Consultant will be responsible for analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions across the Chegg Skills product portfolio. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, partnership, growth, and marketing, this consultant will ensure that product positioning aligns with market demands and has the potential to drive growth. Key tasks include conducting and synthesizing research, refining product messaging, and contributing to go-to-market strategies. This consultant role is critical in maintaining the momentum of ongoing initiatives while ensuring the portfolio remains competitive and aligned with business objectives. The PMM consultant will need to quickly adapt, leveraging their experience to provide strategic insights and support the team during this transition period. Responsibilities: Research * Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform new program recommendations as part of portfolio strategy, in form of surveys, interviews, focus groups, and desktop research. * Collaborate with partnerships, growth, and marketing teams to align these program recommendations with market demands and customer needs. * Provide research and market insights for consideration in product roadmap development. * Brief team to provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on research findings and competitive analysis. Go to Market * Develop copywriting and/or design updates for student-facing course materials for new program launches, consistent with prior work conducted in research phase. * Develop copywriting and/or design updates for employer facing sales materials for new program launches, representative of employer priorities surfaced in research phase. * Develop copywriting for additional assets like video scripts, white papers, and case studies for new program launches. Requirements: * 6+ Years Product Marketing Experience: Significant product marketing expertise in education, technology, or adjacent industries. * Strong Market Research Skills: Ability to conduct comprehensive market research, analyze competitive landscapes, and identify emerging trends that influence portfolio strategy. * Strategic Thinking: Capable of developing and refining product strategies that align with company goals and market needs. * Collaboration and Communication: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product management, sales, and senior leadership, and effectively communicate research insights and strategic recommendations. * Analytical Mindset: Skilled in analyzing data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions and marketing strategies. * Product Marketing Experience: Previous experience in product marketing, with a deep understanding of positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. * Adaptability and Agility: Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment. * Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. * Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in research, reporting, and strategy development Why do we exist?
