Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking an experienced full-time hourly Shipping and Receiving Lead person, for 1st shift, at it's Super Sagless Hardware branch in Tupelo, MS. Super Sagless specializes in producing mechanisms for motion furniture such as recliners and rockers.
As a Shipping and Receiving Lead, you will undertake a variety of tasks relating to the reciept of raw materials and shipment of finished goods. You will assist the company to maintain a productive work environment and will play a major role in day to day operations.
What you'll do:
· Complete Daily Cycle count report and seek out root causes for variances, advise shipping supervisor and maintain a 95% inventory accuracy,
· Monitor inventory reports and maintain inventory accuracy.
· Conform to all safety requirements and procedures.
· Conform to all quality requirements and procedures.
· Assist in daily shipping and receiving tasks
· Replace P-Tags as needed.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
· Assist in all physical inventories' facility wide.
· In absence of Shipping Supervisor, perform supervisor duties as required.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. · 5 years of shipping experience.
· Experience using a scan gun for transactions.
· computer literate, good keyboard-10 key and data entry skills.
· Experience with Excel spreadsheets/word processing software.
· Ability to read and understand schedules, picklists, and bill of lading.
· Must be detail oriented, accurate, with good follow through skills.
· Good communication skills (written and verbal)
· Must have ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
· Able to work well with others.
· Forklift certified.
