TURNERS FALLS School Psychologist - Secondary Job Description POSITION: Secondary School Psychologist REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Director of Pupil Services or Designee The Gill Montague Regional School District is looking for a School Psychologist to join the team at our Secondary School. The School Psychologist shall be licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The School Psychologist shall have experience in conducting student evaluations, providing behavioral consultations, and developing psycho-educational treatment recommendations. The School Psychologist shall provide psychological services, consistent with relevant state and federal special education laws, National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Principles for Professional Ethics. In order to meet these responsibilities, the School Psychologist shall: Conduct psychological screenings and assessments, analyze and interpret results, develop recommendations, and communicate those recommendations; Consult and collaborate with parents, school staff, and outside personnel regarding mental health, behavioral and educational concerns, including prevention-oriented approaches and implementation of the District Curriculum Accommodation Plan; Serve as a resource to school personnel regarding evaluation instruments, and techniques; Participate in behavioral intervention planning, including functional behavioral assessments, behavioral intervention plans, and manifestation determinations as required by IDEA; Assist in monitoring, evaluation, and transition planning for students in and out of District and District-wide programs upon the direction of the Director of Pupil Services, the Principal or designee; Provide individual and/or small group counseling for students with identified disabilities; Collaborate with school staff around interventions and accommodations to students; Provide consultation services to parents/caregivers as needed Qualifications: Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education School Psychologist license.
