Harsco Rail offers contract services for Rail Grinding and has been grinding rail for over 50 years, covering more than 300,000 km (192,000 miles) in the last 7 years.
JOB PURPOSE
- To undertake and perform driving, operating and maintaining in the UK and internationally within the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa) as services/contracts require.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
To travel and undertake work as required in the UK and internationally within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Liaise with customer as required
Make sure method statements and risk assessments are applied.
Update and carry out risk assessments as required
Maintain regular contact with control centre
Maintain regular contact with Contract Delivery Manager
Maintain regular communication with team members
Work to roster as required.
Provide reports / information as required by Contract Delivery Manager/Customer
Partake in competence assessments
Comply with all statutory and company policies and procedures in UK or host country
To undertake training as required
To ensure all machine defects are reported and rectified
Complete all necessary documentation
Ensure machine is maintained to maintenance schedule
Work to 5s regime
To ensure company vehicle is kept to required standards
To communicate with safety rep
Manage machine stock levels
Flexible to work on other machines/locations
Work away from home as required.
Complete travel booking as per agreed procedure/recognised supplier
Adhere to processes relating to expenses, lodging.
Undertake rest, work and travel as specified by the roster, any modifications will be with prior agreement.
