What You'll Be Doing
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Manage all the activities necessary to enable effective end to end coordination of materials to support the project.
Interface with freight forwarders, supply vendors, & expediters to ensure that equipment and material deliveries meet the project constructability schedule.
Interface with the construction managers, area superintendents, & subcontractors to ensure material two week look ahead requirements are being met.
Responsible for the receiving, inspection, and material issuing of all project related material.
Analyze material progress reports highlighting any discrepancies to relevant parties and develop early mitigation plans for late deliveries of critical and long lead items.
Maintain the material management system used by the project to issue and receive material.
Track spare parts, surplus material, and generate the handover documentation for the client.
Ensure that the storage, preservation, and protection requirements of all static and rotating machinery equipment comply with vendor requirements.
Generate and distribute site material control status reports in accordance with project requirements.
Interface with the quality control team to document any damages to equipment or material and generate NCR's.
Manage the OS&D process and resolve any issues with supply vendors.
Manage and oversee the onsite subcontractor’s material team to ensure that their contractual requirements are executed on material receiving.
Ideal Background
Education: High school diploma is required for this role.
Experience: This position requires up to 10 years of relevant experience in Material Management.

Knowledge of the Hargrove project execution procedures.
Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
Knowledge and application of company engineering standards and project controls tools.
Demonstrated proficiency in complex project management.
Ability to lead a team to deliver on commitments.
A comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
Ability to manage client relationships in complex situations.
Ability to relate easily to others in the business community such as customers, suppliers, contractors, government, professional and trade associations.
