This position in American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) represents an exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic world of distribution, managing a portfolio of technology providers. This is a strategic role, where the successful applicant will be responsible for helping create and then drive execution of commercial strategies with GDS partners and other technology providers
The role sits on the supplier side of the organization, within the Global Business Partnerships (GBP) team. This team is a strategic component of the business model and value proposition for GBT, contributing significantly to revenue generation and customer value.
What You'll Do:
Work with Distribution Team’s leadership to create the distribution strategy globally
Partnering with GDS’s and other aggregators to ensure strong collaboration on distribution matters, alignment on goals and enhancing the overall offering to joint customers
Work through content related issues and apply solutions as required to overcome challenges
Working with internal partners to ensure alignment & progress on key goals
Develop commercial models to meet the evolving needs of the marketplace
Ensure costs are well managed and controlled
Distill large data sets into actionable insights that drive strategy
What We're Looking For:
Strong negotiation skills
Strategic thinking skills
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills, an attention to detail and ability to deliver within deadlines
Positive relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners
Experience in the distribution space preferred
Experience of working with product and technology from a commercial perspective preferred
Ability to work across time zones
Complexity:
This is an individual contributor role without any direct reports
Candidate is responsible for the processes and workflows described above and generally will work autonomously, subject to feedback from constituents and coaching and guidance from their manager

Location

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
