NBC Universal Sr. Financial Analyst in Universal City, California

The Universal Film/Studios Group FP&A team is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst, responsible for supporting the consolidation, analysis, and forecasting of global costs for the Film/Studios Group. The role is in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Consolidation and analysis of Film/Studio’s global costs related to Overhead/SG&A

  • Presentation of cost results and future forecasts to Film/Studios CFO and Studios SVP

  • Assist in management of Overhead for major forecast cycles (Long Range Plan, Budget, etc.)

  • Direct collaboration with finance teams from across the 11 Film business units to ensure coordinated processes and timely reporting

  • Leverage Film financial system to build robust analytical tools to support Film/Studios pacing process

  • Work closely with CFO on special projects and cost initiatives

  • Act as finance partner for Film/Studios HQ business unit providing overhead support to 20 Executive department leaders spanning all functions (Creative Development, Production, Technology, Diversity, Finance, Legal, HR, etc)

  • Responsible for the quarterly analysis of Film & Studio’s Headcount

  • Support ad-hoc projects, analyses, and presentations

  • Assist in SAP S4 transition for Overhead with code block, cost center and profit center support

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • 2+ years of Finance experience

  • High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver presentations

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including formulas, pivot tables, advanced spreadsheets; experience with VBA, macros, data visualization preferred

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
