JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an Academic Program Coordinator​ in the Accounting Department.

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Serve as course scheduling coordinator for the Accounting Department, including building courses in LionPath, adding and changing course controls, increasing/decreasing enrollments, and maintaining room assignments.

  • Assist undergraduate students with course registration and elective scheduling.

  • Assist faculty and instructors with course administration, manage SRTEs, and maintain office hours and teaching schedules.

  • Coordinate colloquium/recruiting schedules, including making travel arrangements and creating itineraries.

  • Prepare and process financial forms, including travel paperwork.

  • Provide administrative support for the Fred Schaefer Scholarship Program, including overseeing the application process, processing scholarships, and maintaining the records for each scholar.

  • Planning and coordinating Accounting Advisory Board meetings held twice a year, including: scheduling meeting rooms, maintaining list of board members, coordinating catering, maintaining files, and taking minutes.

  • Manage department work-study office assistants, coordinate proctor schedule, and process wage payroll forms.

  • Serve as back-up to the Academic Program Coordinator.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

​Education and Experience

Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Must be detail oriented and able to work both independently and in a team environment. Experience in LionPath, CollegeNet, Workday, WorkLion, Canvas, ERS, eBuy, IBIS, eSteward, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) preferred. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This position requires a High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $55,500.00
