JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing (CON) seeks candidates for the position of Education Program Specialist for the College’s Outreach department in support of the strategic plan. The primary duties for this position include the identification, planning, delivery, and evaluation of internal and external educational programs; support for outreach, professional development, and wellness programs and projects, primarily non-credit continuing education programs; facilitation of various translational efforts and initiatives; participation in outreach/service/wellness events; and collaborative activities with community partners.

Duties involve communication with internal and external stakeholders; data collection, reporting, and analysis; preparation of program documentation and reports; processing and tracking of expenditures; and creation and coordination of marketing strategies for outreach activities.

Position also includes direct support for the Assistant Dean for Outreach and Professional Development; coordinating various meetings online and in person for the Assistant Dean and faculty with internal and external partners; assisting with creative program development and budget and grant preparation based upon needs assessment and current healthcare environment; supporting logistics and supply management for faculty and programs, including computer access, arranging classrooms and lab space, and ordering/mailing course books/materials; working with College’s Marketing Specialist and Multimedia Specialist to keep the Outreach program’s website up-to-date; collecting data and preparing/submitting various reports and spreadsheets; submitting all travel expenditures for the Outreach office through the University’s ERS system; developing and managing budgets for individual programs and services to meet assigned income and program targets; managing Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA) certification, filing and annual reports; working with other staff to assure compliance and Nursing Continuing Professional Development credits and certificates are awarded; and, performing other duties as assigned to assist with the College’s undergraduate, graduate, Centers, and outreach programs.

In addition, this position will require occasional travel outside of the University to promote programs and recruit potential sites/participants for the College’s outreach programs along with required attendance at various Outreach programs, including those held on nights and weekends.

Typical Requirements

This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher plus 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; A master’s degree and knowledge of survey and program registration software tools is preferred.

Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the three clearances.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
