JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Schreyer Honors College is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist responsible for multichannel storytelling and general communications for the college. This position’s primary responsibility is to identify and capture student and alumni stories through print and digital mediums. The position will also lead the planning, development, and distribution of general communications to promote college activities, programs, resources, and information to various constituents.
Primary responsibilities:
Write feature stories, marketing content, and web content to highlight student and alumni stories
Conceptualize and coordinate multimedia storytelling through videography and photography
Write and distribute press releases, targeted email communications, and a weekly email newsletter to inform constituents of college information and activities
Oversee the production of a print/digital annual magazine, incudes planning stories, writing content, coordinating multimedia web content, and working with a designer to produce the publication
Maintain a content calendar and work with Schreyer staff to plan content and distribution methods to best reach out audiences
Write remarks for the dean and other Schreyer leadership for use during events, alumni engagement, and prospective student programs
Hire and supervise student interns to assist with content development
Attend college events as needed to assist with capturing content or event logistics
Education Requirements and skills :
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience and skills, include:
Exceptional writing skills and ability to write for a variety of platforms
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate well as part of a team
An interest in multimedia content and ability to think creatively about multichannel storytelling.
This position is expected to be primarily onsite, but may offer occasional opportunities for flexible work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
