JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State University Park Career Services is seeking to hire a part-time Career Counselor to support our team during the upcoming academic year.Preference will be given to applicants whohave already completed a graduate-level practicum/internship experience with PSU Career Services.

This will be a paid position, $15/hr for 5-20 hrs a week, reporting to the Assistant Director of Career Counseling. Primarily meets with a wide range of graduate and undergraduatestudents for the purposes of career/major exploration, interview prep, resume reviews,and developing an active strategy to reach career goals. These meetings will occur within brief (10-15 minute) drop-in sessions and within scheduled (50-60 minute) individual career counseling appointments, both virtual and in-person.

Typically requires 1+ yearsrelated experience, and Master's Degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education or a related discipline.
