JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Product and Process Design Department of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking undergraduate students to perform polymer additive manufacturing experiments.
ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.
Typical duties will include: Set up and execute experimental builds on polymer 3D Printers Use python code and MongoDB database to record data during experimental builds Troubleshoot and resolve 3D printer maintenance issues Mechanical testing of 3D printed test specimens Assist R&D team in data analysis Prepare reports on results of testing Present on results to sponsors
Students studying Aerospace , Electrical , Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer.
