JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Leonhard Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Education is an endowed Center that forms partnerships with engineering faculty and programs in designing, implementing and evaluating research-based innovations in undergraduate and graduateengineeringeducation. The Leonhard Center also provides workshops and summer academies for faculty on a wide range of topics, from creativity and innovation to engineering communication.In addition, theLeonhardCenter initiates and evaluates College-wideprojects in support of the College's strategic goals.

TheLeonhardCenteris seeking aPost-doctoralScholartotake a leadership role for several Center projects related to educational innovation, collaborating with faculty to design and evaluateprojectsin engineering education, evaluating College-level educational initiatives,and supporting faculty development efforts by offeringcollege-wideworkshopson evidence-based instructional practices and educational research or coordinating/leading Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs).

The position requiresthe ability to design and conduct research using qualitative and quantitative methods.The successful candidate willhave demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration. The ability to publish and present the results of the studies at national or international conferences is also important for the position. The minimum requirement for the position is a Ph.D. by the start of the appointment in an appropriate field,such asengineering education,educational psychology, or higher education. Knowledge of current trends in engineering education is desirable.

This is a term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with good possibility of re-funding. The start date is negotiable but can be as early as November 2024.
